Director of Haitian Ministries, Eldet Tines

Based in Jeremie, Haiti (120 miles west of Port-au-Prince), our ministry encompasses pastoral training and leadership development, church planting, educational support, widow and orphan care as well as a constant pursuance of justice for the oppressed and the overlooked. Our approach is highly relational and focuses on the most isolated and poverty stricken parts of western Haiti.

We train native pastors through Biblical seminars and leadership programs to share the Word of God and coordinate our service based projects. By training the native pastors to be Christian leaders, we empower them to create lasting change in their community and take care of their country as only a native Haitian can.

Haiti Bible Mission participates in a wide range of humanitarian assistance projects. During the past 10 years, this ministry has constructed multiple school buildings, churches, and pastor’s homes.

Independently and through church plants, Haiti Bible Mission supports several school systems in the rural areas around Jeremie. Education is vital in a country where 80% of the children grow up in poverty and the adult literacy rate is only 35%.  Through back to school programs, the construction of school buildings and the gift of school supplies, Haiti Bible Mission is helping to educate a population desperate for knowledge.  We also host several outreach programs for children utilizing team sports such as soccer and basketball.

There are many aspects to this ministry, but there is one unified objective – sharing the love of Christ with the people of Haiti.  Please consider supporting Haiti Bible Mission today and help us continue to live the difference in Haiti.

Haiti Bible Mission is dedicated to helping the people of Haiti through Christian outreach, humanitarian assistance, orphan care and educational support. This relational, grassroots ministry is supported by a number of individuals and churches throughout the United States who freely provide prayers, financial support, and mission teams of all ages.
