This Week at HBM

This week has been quite a week at HBM. We started with a group from Sebring, FL who's been here to help run electrical and install air conditioning in our new guest house!

The group that was here was a collection of two families that have supported the Stockeland family and their pursuits for a very long time. Gary Binns, his wife and kids and Joe Bell with his wife and a family friend were here to bless the people of Jeremie with us.

For most of the week, the group worked on the compound, puting finishing touches on the interior guest house rooms. They managed to install electrical in all three rooms, air conditioners in the two main rooms and painted all three as well.

The time we spent away fron the compound was just as fruitful as we visited the hospital and the children ar Tè Wouj. The.group brought sheets for the cribs in the pediatric ward at the hospital for which the new director was so grateful! They also brought toys and cookies for the children to distribute as we prayed for them.

At Tè Wouj we brought musical instruments and toy cars to bless the children. We had so much fun playing with them and seeing the smiles on their faces. We were so touched as they received what we can imagine is the only toy some of them own.

This week we've seen real fruit as Dwayne Jackson, our resident basketball trainer has taken dozens of kids under his wings. He has touched countless lives through the ministry of providing a strong role model figure for young men in Jeremie.

We also had a chance to partner with the chief of police and pastor, Ginois. His church has been blessing their neighborhood with a revival. We went out last night to see the festivities and were so blessed with a seat of honor. Our special seat gave us a vantage point to see the worshipers unite in giving God glory!

Next week we'll be receiving a group from Ohio who's coming to help us serve. Please pray for us as we prepare for what God has in store.
