This Week at HBM

We're very happy to have our own Carl Eric come home from his time at the hospital in Port au Prince. Carl Eric was in a bad moto accident and needed travel to Port to make this happen. Thanks to some generous HBM supporters, Carl Eric was able to travel and get the medical attention he needs. Carl Eric leads our security team for HBM in Jeremie.

We're very blessed to have a partner in mission like Agape Flights. They are our go to people when we need supplies shipped to us in western Haiti. Pictured below is HBM director Mark Stockeland along with the staff of Agape Flights at their office in Venice, FL.

For those who have traveled with us throughout the region of Jeremie know the housing situation for many Haitians. Many times large families live in small huts and shacks and when it rains these homes leak terribly on the families inside. Many homes have dirt floors and when it rains these floors become muddy and slippery. One of the ways we can temporarily help families with this problem is by covering their homes with tarps. Providence Community Church in Hanover, PA took it upon themselves to start a campaign to collect 1,000 tarps to ship them to us here in Jeremie. Thanks to Agape Flights for flying them down and to everyone who donated a tarp or the money to buy one.
