A Month of Blessings

March 2016

2016 at Haiti Bible Mission is promising to continue to be an exciting and fulfilling season in Jeremie, Haiti.  We are blessed to say that every student in our school at Te Wouj has been sponsored!  If you are still interested, we encourage you to get involved!  Here are some things that you can do to stay involved with our staff and our school in Te Wouj:

  • Sponsor an Emerging Leader.  Though the cost of sponsoring an emerging leader may be higher than that of a student, it pays for the leaders' salaries among many other things.  These are men and women that are already seeking to lead and serve in their communities.
  • Sign up for our Sponsorship Newsletter by clicking the link to see our latest newsletter and then click subscribe at the top, left.  This will give you periodic updates of the school in Te Wouj and what our students are doing.
  • Get on our waiting list.  If you would still like to sponsor a student, please sign up for our waiting list for the next available student by emailing our sponsorship coordinator, Hannah Rosario (hannah@haitibiblemission.org).

We loved having a sweet group of people come from Texas and Florida combined this month!  They served in many ways, from playing games with our school kids to building a roof on the house of one of our employees' families!  We miss them already!

Another special thanks to all who donated to help supply Haiti Bible Mission with a second truck!  This is a huge answer to prayer (both for us and our large groups), as it better equips us to transport group members and project supplies that are essential to our ministry.

A week in pictures with Grace Bible and Bible Fellowship Church

We were so blessed to have to returning churches to HBM last week both from Sebring, FL. Check out the photos below to see all they did and experienced.

A Week at HBM with North River Church of Parrish, FL.

We were very privileged to have a group of 19 people from North River Church of Parrish, FL with us in Jeremie this past week. The group brought along a small dental team and were able to give first aid training to the locals in Te Wouj.  In addition to their time playing games with the kids at Te Wouj and the local orphanage, they were able to paint the school and church along with the newly built toilet rooms.  They were also able to build a new roof for a neighbor in the city and performed dental work for our church plant in town along with all the HBM staff.  While  part of the team did some painting on the HBM compound, a few made the trip to Cayes Executive Director Mark Stockeland to pick up a shipment of supplies being flown in by Agape Flights.  Saturday was spent at the market and the beach along with the chance to experience a Haitian church service on Sunday. Check out all the great pics below of the week and thank to North River Church for living the difference with us.

A week's recap of two teams from New York and Texas

This past week was nothing short of exciting. From the moment this team landed in Jeremie they were ready to get to work loving people and serving where needed. One of the highlights of the week was being able to build a new roof for a local family. One of the team members led the charge by raising $2,000 on her own to fund the project! Check out the pics below.

A Week at HBM with Moses Lake Presbyterian Church

Thanks to Moses Lake for all their hard work and support this past week. As you can see it was quite a busy week for this team. From building new benches and desks for the Te Wouj school to installing new roofs over the Providence Jeremie church plant in the city. Check out the pics below!
