Over the past few months we've been developing a great relationship with the Mayor of Jeremie. One of the main ways we've been partnering with the city is rehabilitating the road that leads up to the HBM compound. The need for repairs are great and our boys on the compound have taken it upon themselves to help with the task. Just another way HBM is trying to bless the city they live in.
We're also very happy to continue working to improve conditions at the city run hospital. From time to time we're able to provide additional mattresses and fans so that children and families are more comfortable during their stay. Please pray for wisdom as we continue to find more ways to partner with the city and local officials to make Jeremie a better place.
Another way our emerging leaders have been ministering to their community is by inviting the local children to compound for a meal and a short teaching. This time they were able to handout notebooks to the kids to take home.
